Is your hood a VIS or Carbon creations? still a little heavy for a CF hood. Those hoods have a fiber glass frame just laminated with CF. But any weight reduction is good on our heavy cars. I had a DGmotorsports CF hood and it was much lighter than my friends VIS cf hood. maybe by 10-15# lighter. I could lift it with my pinky. lol
or it would be lighter and stiffer but for $450 shipped vs probally $1500 for a full carbon hood it's not bad and fits well.

Yup my old hood was full carbon. Oem hood latch and shocks too. Fit was great, functional DIRECT ram air. not stock SS style ram air that dont help unless going over 100mph due to air routing. Carbon fiber is 6k weave. best out there. 1400 including shipping for mine. you get what you pay for. but i live in hawaii so thats why shipping is a lot.

I just got mine back from the painter, I must say that it looks awesome, painted the hood and blended the color with fenders and repainted front bumper and mirrors. I guess they matched it very well since there's really no color change at all.
