Default my new "blackbird" stripes

so I was debating on whether to do the whole blackbird stripe thing or not, but my hood was fading and flaking. so I traded out some work with a friend to repaint it. well, another old friend of mine who is an airbrush artist happens to share a shop with him and offered to throw in his services. I showed him the stripes gave hm a few ideas and here is what he came up with. note: this is PAINT no vinyl, it is under the clear

he told me if I decide I don't like it he will redo it anytime, or just go back black with it. I am still undecided but I am leaning more towards liking it. any other thoughts/opinions?

btw it may be a little hard to see all of what's going on, but the stripes are based in a mettalic silver with true fire over top

IMO and maybe it's just the pictures, but it looks like the stripes are just multi-colored. Dislike, sorry...

Too much, IMO, ..., but my opinion doesn't count.
Yours does.

Flat black, satin black, charcoal, ..., something more mellow to follow the theme of the car.

I will have to get better pictures showing more detail. those were cellphone pics the painter took and sent me. my idea that I tried to convey to him was to have the flames done in silver and ghosted onto the black for a more subtle touch. which I may have him do in the future. but for now I'm happy to have a fully shiny hood atleast

Bringing this back from the dead!!! lol

Has anyone else put the blackbird stripes on their firehawk?

I know the hood is slightly shaped differently then a WS6 hood, so not sure how they will exactly lay on without some finesse. I have a red Firehawk and just want a little more looks from up front

That’s what these things are then? Hopefully it works for you on a hawk hood. You could also call Phoenix Graphics and see if they’d make an adjustment in length then cut to fit maybe?
