I was hoping the gold cadium would be darker orange. I want it to blend so think the raw alum looks better

What's the rest of the theme on the car?
Aluminum or gold cadmium plated?
Pick a color theme & stick with it.

The gold cadmium ones look better cause they blend in to the dzus fasteners.

I vote raw aluminum, and pray you never need to get the hood off in a hurry.

haha everyone thinks its some big deal or somthing then dose not have this setup. But for me and everyone that has it, takes about 8-10 secs. Same speed you walk around the front of the car. If you wanted and rushed you could do it faster

I've helped him take it off before it really doesn't take long at all.

I still vote orange. Like the first person said it doesn't match exactly but its still looks good especially from a distance.

Yeah, you think that, til the first time you have an engine fire. Really makes you appreciate 2 pins rather quickly. Not trying to **** on your parade, just really surprised sanctioning bodies (NHRA/IHRA) haven't banned them yet.

Could't tell the rivets were raw from the pictures, I thought they were plated, my mistake. I noticed one set of rivets were orange and the others were not. In my opinion they look better raw because they dont stand out.

Maybe use touch-up paint on whatever ones you use so they match the paint.

OR spray paint the dzus's before installing them. I might even recommend powder coating. I painted mine and about the 3rd or 4th time I pulled the hood, the paint started flaking....but I didn't clear coat them...

Favorite fbody hood (camaro) ever. BUT......any reason why not a convential hood open/close arrangement?

Either way...raw. Anodized rivets will fade and look bad after some time. Raw...

I took a few alum ones apart and scuffed them, and fit them with some SOM in a spray bomb I have. They looked really good test fitting them. but when you "pop" the rivit on the gun in hits and will chip them. I just used the raw alum rivits already.
