I had the same issue with mine. I ended up compressing the spring on the mounting tab and it's been fine

X2, I had to put all of my springs in a vice and smash them down flat.

nice setup. did you have to flatten the springs as well, seems to be the pattern. i got everything else done but getting these damn things to grab. i get the new springs tommo. then im going to flatten them all and see which works best and post it up.

Dan, .500 and shave the edge to almost flat, if not it could get stuck in the rail gap...

there exact package they orig sent me just didnt work. ended up flattening .225 and some of the tabs started out flush on mock up but when riveted they got all cocked when tightened. im just annoyed but whatever got it done got 3 fudged up tabs.

badss i didnt shave the lip. maybe i should've. it doesnt get caught anywhere it sits on the metal railing itself. drove it around today for bout 30 miles at around 90-100. everything seems fine. the front ones are the best they hold it down so much. i still gotta do the rear part. another day though, i dont have the patience for all this.
