Default 30th Anniversary Badge pics/placement

Just received my custom badges from TSS and want to mount them the same way the 30 birds have them on the doors (my car IS a 1999 T/A). Now before you flame, YES, I have done searches and compiled a few pictures already. That being said, if anyone has exact measurements or doesn't mind running outside to take a few quick pics of their 30th doors, it would help me out a ton. Any tips/suggestions are welcome. This is one of the last appearance mods I have left, so I want it to be as close to perfect as possible. Thanks, all! Cheers.

Thanks! I really hated the look of the original LOTB badges, but didn't have the heart to put "30th" badges on a non-anniversary package car. Being a '99, I wanted to take the best of both worlds. TSS really went above and beyond for me. Jaison does fantastic work. Can't wait to get these slick pieces on!!

Dan, that is GREAT! Thank you very much. I really like the 5.7 (from a goat, I'm assuming) badges above the heat extractors. If they weren't already incorporated in my door shields I'd probably steal your idea, haha. Beautiful car, man!!

Not flaming, it's an honest question. Is it ok to put "Last of the Breed" badges on a car that's not a 2002?

I really like the look of them, but wouldn't want to be constantly asked, "Oh, it's not a 2002"

This argument has been beat to death too many times for me to consider it flaming, hahaha. You're safe, man.

The way I see it, YES, LOTB badges are meant for 2002 cars only. (You guys can do what you wish with your cars, I truly don't get bent out of shape over that nonsense). Now, MY badges that I had designed to MY specifications aren't meant to emulate the original LOTB badges. Like I said before, I really hate the way they look. I wanted something that, to me (and for me only), represents something special about Gen IV birds. If I get any trolls asking why I put LOTB badges on a non '02 car, all I gotta say is "They aren't LOTB...I should know, I designed them."

Just my $.02

I understand what you're saying, but your badges, that you designed, say Last of the Breed on them, so I'm a little confused.

I wouldn't put a LOB badge on my car, but I could see someone defending the fact that it's the last generation of the breed.

Whatever, I think the badges you made look good.

Thanks, Alchemist. It means a lot seeing a member be respectful despite confusion/not agreeing with a mod, rather than trash talking it. Much appreciated.

In all honesty, these badges are for me, and not the consensus of the F-Body community (one of the perks of designing a 1-off set of shields). I just see too much of the same thing. It's fun to be different every now and then

If anyone else has more pics/measurements, please don't hesitate. I plan to mount them tomorrow.

Though I'm pretty set in my ways, comments are always welcome. Thanks for the help so far, e'rybody. Cheers.

LIke I said, I really like the look of them, I just wish I had a 2002 to be able to rock them guilt free.

Unless your at a car show with a bunch of other f body nerds, I don't think anybody is going to question the badges.

You said it, man. That or if my car was an ASC #'d 30th...it would've been a LOT cheaper for me to just buy Anniversary badges then have those made. Oh well.

Btw, that WS•9 Outlaw hood is SIKK!! Kudos.

Just put them on. Regardless of whether or not you think they belong on a '99 car, they look HELLA sick!! Much thanks to all who helped/posted. Pics to come soon (photoshoot tomorrow). Peace.

Hahahaha, long as you don't claim it to be a true 35th edition, I think that'd be pretty sweet I'm guessing it's an '02?

At the end of the day we are ALL the Last of a Dead breed!!!

Why is it that so many guys do Yenco, COPO, 69 Camaro Pace cars etc...?

Build what you like, when you sell it the buyer will like it or not. Most guys at a show don't know. Every day our cars are becoming more rare.

Good job on the emblems.
