Default Leaf blower to dry car?

Surely I am not the first to contemplate this, but I'm tired of using a chamois to dry my cars after washing. Especially with my new WRX, I find there is a ton of water still coming out all over the place after I've dried it. I just want to blow the water right out/off the car.

If anyone does use this method, what type of blower do you use? Cordless? Wired? Gas powered? What sort of cfm does your leaf blower put out and how well does it work?

Thanks!

My friend does that with his Z28, I think he used a wired one but it doesn't really matter. what I usually do is just drive the car for 3 minutes and it gets most of the water out of the trunk and what not.

Ill sometimes take it around the block real quick and then use a 200mph/430cfm craftsman gas powered blower.

My friend and I both use his leaf blower to dry our cars off. It works great to get water off and to get it out of all the small cracks.

Been doing this for YEARS! I use my commercial Shindiawa Back Pack Blower. Works wonders for the stupid honey comb grill on my focus.

Leaf blower is the only way to go for me. A chamois will not ever dry your wiper assembly like a leaf blower does.
I prefer the Black&Decker Leafhog 230mph corded you can get at Wallyworld for $60-70.
Oh, and earplugs!

I use a 200mph leaf blower, craftsman wired. Drys the car so much faster, plus it gets all the water off from all the little areas like the side windows, and door sills, trunk, etc. Definitely makes it easier.

Another for the leaf blower. Mine is gas powered and I have used it for several years on all my cars. There have even been club 'get togethers' at members homes where water hoses, rags, and leaf blowers are provided. It really gets rid of the water in the cracks and crevices that never come out until you drive off.
