Default a few projects i did to the car.

Heres a couple of projects ive done to the car. keep in mind the car is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. some of you guys wont like some of the mods but thats ok,. im building the car to what i like. i shaved tha top part of the high mount brake light, shaved door handles, shaved antenna, targa top, and of course that front bumper ive spent countless hours on. here are the pics. enjoy

I really like the changes you've done. Nice work! Any concerns about structural integrity with the t-top bar cut out?

I made some subframe connectors for under the car that I welded in.

That thing is gonna look mean when finished. Good job OP with it. How hard was the targa top, did you start with a t-top car? I want to do this to my coupe.

nice work man... i like everything you did.. im not a fan of shaved door handles, but it looks good.. on the roof i want to do that to my z awhile back, but i never got around it..

Thanks for the comments guys. No it wasnt a trip when I started, it was a hard top. It wasn't to hard, but it is a lot of work.

so it started out as a formula or firebird? i didnt think trans ams came as hardtops, and if they did, they are rare.
and i bet that mecham hood took alot of work also. you going to fill in the rear pontiac letters on the bumper?

What are you using for the top? The original roof skin?

It started life as a firebird. I'm using the original roof skin, just reinforced so its not so flimsy, so the targa top is fully functional not just for show. And yea that mecham hood took a lot of work to get it straight and to line up.

I havmt made up my mind about the letters on the rear bumper yet.

i must say i'm really impressed by the changes too. Almost looks like what gm should have done if they continued the line. Very sleak man, cant wait to see it finished

I built them because I needed to make sure they were really sturdy. I didn't want the body to flex at all cause of the cut top, so I built mine out of 2.5x1.5" rectangular tubing.
