Your right though, no way to bend a small flap on those ends? It'll look like small wings. Still though with all these covers in place, it will look awesome.
nope the cover fits over it and i dont use it much so im gonna fill it up completely and put the cover over it so you cant even see the cap. to get it to fit i might need to grind down the 2 braces that are at an angle that hold in the latch but ill see after i complete the piece. my piece is going to extend further than the 2 shown and cover up some of the headlight mounts also

I see...

I agree the rib on the brace may need to be trimmed down for more flush. When I get my cover, I may use some spare tin I have to fill in those areas, I can then either use 3m tape to hold it and or a hidden rivet. I want make the eng bay as smooth as possible.

^^^ Thats my dilema ^^^ I can't decide wether to grind down and file out the latch brace or make the "cuts" to allow the plate to sit down flush. I' mean....the whole purpose of this is to make a cleaner look but if I go hacking on the plate anymore, it won't look a good as it can IMO.

Well, got home and did some fitment and alignment. I beat myself up pretty good so I got some more work to do. I can't really get too much done at work when help is slim. I'll have it perfected tomorrow now that I know what I need to do:

Looks like the bottom part of the JAAM Air product.

I have one on my car and it does clean up that section nicely.
