Not always, but if your bulbs don't fire on or take a few seconds to, or flicker, then you need it. Even if you don't need it it's a good idea to get the relay. It just makes them operate more efficiently.

They won't be perfect.. In a projector housing you would never be able to tell.
I run 6k 35s and 8k 55s... I can tell, most people can't. If I had both 6k, if I didnt know, probably couldn't tell.
I'm switching to Hellas in a week or two anyway, already got everything ready.

on a side note, I think i'd consider a 55w 6000k, to be about in the middle of a 35w 6000k and 35w 5000k (color-wise). just something else I noticed trying out the 5000ks..

Looking to order a kit from DDM, should I just upgrade my lows? Or do lows and highs? If I did both, I'd have to order 2 kits right? On the site it sends you to, to check what bulbs you need it says the lows need a 9006 and my highs need 9005. So then I would order one 9006 kit, and one 9005 kit? I just want to be sure what I'm ordering before I do.

Don't bother with buying a full HID kit for the high beams, they won't truly function as highs and the bulbs will burn out rapidly from always being off, then flicked on and being expected to fire immediately.
If I were you I would do 9006 55w lows, 880 55w fogs, and if you really want the HID look for the highs (even though you will probably never need to use them again! lol) get the Eurolights housings with their bulbs.
This is what I'm doing, sans the high beams. Dems is dead to me now that I have HIDS

Yeh, I don't run HID's in my highs yet, with the HID lows and fogs, I don't need it. I do have a set of HID's in non-projector housings on the brights in my commuter car, but they are for late night driving on a long, dark back road..
My fog's and lows.. All 55w..
