Then I transferred this to steel. I used 2 1/8" thick 3" wide 17-1/4" long plates to mount the factory tracks to my seats. I would recommend making these 6" wide instead of 3". I was able to bolt the seats in place with the 3" wide steel plates, but they would not retract back far enough. Making the plate 6" wide will allow you to bolt the tracks farther forward, thus allowing the seat to slide farther back. I had to go back and rework my 3" plates, adding additional material so that I could mount the tracks farther forward.
I drew up something quickly in paint to illustrate what I did. It isn't to scale or anything and I didn't shift the tracks to the right or left, my drawing just came out that way. It is very similar to what is on the 6 liter website. Maybe this will help you.
Didn't realize this was from last year until I posted. Maybe this will help someone else trying to install these seats.
