Carbon fiber wrapped intake?
#27
Reel carbon fiber looks soooo much better than hydro dipped. It has a almost three demensional depth to it. Hydro dipped wrap just looks wrong, reminds me of something a Honda driver would do to make their car faster.... Rice.... I love real carbon fiber wrap, easy to just gaze into. Hydro dip looks like a fake sticker, hate it so much I had to spray over the fake stuff on my air lid.

We can dip intakes and keep your lettering. As far as the looks of it, it's up to the viewer. Real CF typically costs a lot more, and it has a whole lot of distortion to it when you get into corners, pockets, or bends. The dipped CF pattern is not real carbon fiber, but it is slick as glass because it is a real basecoat / clearcoat paint process. Dipping also has very little to no distortion in the areas where real CF wrapping has a lot of trouble and looks jumbled. Real CF wrap, or molds, looks better to me if it is on a flat surface like a hood. On shift *****, etc, it just looks like a mess. But, the owner of the mess can say "it's real CF". Not knocking real CF, but there is a valid argument against it. This argument will never cease. There are people on both sides.
With that said, I will post up some dips later. We also do patterns other than CF.

Pictures of parts that would be very difficult to wrap, and make look good.
Hydrocoated with 3 layers of automotive clear coat. Will not yellow like some carbon fiber resins will.

you could do it with real carbon fiber, but your corners and cracks will be the tough areas. It would take some work for sure, and the weave would be distorted in many areas as well. You can buy a kit with the fiber and resin with hardner, etc pretty cheap.
