No, the coil brackets will painted the same color as the valve covers to make them less visible. I ordered some black Nomex thread (what is used to sew firefighter uniforms and racing suits) that I will use to connect the nylon loom together.

I will wrap each set of wires running to the connectors and then sew them to where they meet the larger sections of all the wires to make it look seamless. This will also allow me to tighten the loom around the wires and sew it rather than just having the loom 1/2 inch around with the wires floating around inside of it.

I actually really like that.

Good project man. It is the little things that don't stand out that make your car stand out!

I thought your original wire job looked good, but the wire loom looks much better.

Thanks guys, I'm really pleased with how this has turned out so far. I decided to just respray the covers and brackets with the black paint I already had as I just didn't feel like dropping the coin on powder coating right now now. Only a few places near me and I felt they were kind of on the expensive side. I'll try and get pictures up today!

I just removed the white and blue retaining clips from mine. Cleaned them up nicely. Next I want to take a grinder to cut off those "spikes" on the bolts.

Removing the white/blue clips or whatever makes a BIG difference.

Are you referring to the clips that go to the plugs going into the coils? And yes grinding down the spikes on the bolts makes a nice difference in my eyes. HoLLo your set-up looks nice. I'm really itching for some black fuel rails now to contrast from my fast.

I'm liking what I'm seeing in this thread! Nice work OP!! One suggestion: See the big fat white connector that connects that mini-harness to the main harness? How about extending those wires to get the plug out of there and tuck it to the back of the intake? I'll be working on mine in the future and seeing these pics has motivated me! Also inspired me to do that little extension.

I thought about tucking it or spraying it black but I forgot about it haha. I might just spray it black for now as everything is still out of the car. I'm going to towing her off to the shop next week so I'll have to see if I can get around to it this weekend.

That would be my guess...they still need to be weather proof connectors.

Is there a site that has a variety of connectors to look at?

These 2 should work #WPT-4 (12015797) #WPS-4 (12010974)

But for better looking plugs check the metripac section
