Default Where to buy new carpet??

I am sure it's been kicked around before but...needing a new carpet for the 02 SS race car. Pulled the old stuff old when welding was getting done and it got messed up. Anybody ever try the models listed in the JC whitney? I know it sounds cheap but, if it looks good?? Anyway, ideas ? Suggestions ?
Thanks,
Kev

what about checking to see if anyone is selling some used stuff out of a wrecked car or something like that. i dont think that it is in very high demand, you could probably get it really cheap. just an idea

You could also check your local upholsetry supply shops, there are several that sell auto carpet. I don't think it would cost too much either.

I've tried ebay, I think everyone has the same idea...shouldn't be to expensive...but it ends up being 75 - 100 bucks ??? I found it in the Whitney catalog for 139.00 and it is supposed to be the molded, factory style loop and all. I just thought that there had been a couple of ya'll that had bought from somebody else.
Oh yeah, I tried year one...lol...they want like 295.00 for one..now that's funny.

I knew of a few drag cars back in the early '80s that were adorned with black outdoor carpeting. That stuff shed like crazy.....

i bought some from my local car "upholstery" folks and got 4 yards of some thin lightweight black stuff for $65. they had all kind of different colors and weights just drive up to one and see what they got.
