Restored headlights, once again..haha
I've done this a few times now..must be the old plastic oxidizes fast or something, its not garage kept so that doesn't help either.. I've done different stuff each time but this is what worked the best (others suuuucked).
This time:
Unbolted the headlights
Dremel to the tabs
400,800,1000,1500 grit wetordry 3M sandpaper (2-3 min on each grit, circular motions)
Still looks way blurry after 1500, so finished with that mother's power buffer that goes on a drill.
Ta-dah! Now go get off your lazy butt and give your bird a new set of eyes haha

It will continue to oxidize until you put some clear on it. You have to have some UV protection on them--after you sand and polish you remove the factory UV protectant-that's why when it's done professionally they are cleared with auto clear and then wet sanded out again (dirt..etc).

They look great, just trying to save you having to do it again in 3 months !

look great OP...I need to do this soon...mine are terrible. My weatherstripping is also bad. Any suggestions on what to do for weatherstripping around the headlights?
5.7IROC, any suggestion for what to buy for getting some kind of protectant clear so you don't have to keep doing this?

I got one of those kits from walmart for $20 or so. Did my Stratus and my buddy's f150. can't believe I was driving around unable to see 50 ft in front of me when all it took was $20 and a lil bit of work to have crystal clear lights
