Where would recommend I start then? It looks pretty rough to me. I've only ever sanded softer metals up to a polish, never stainless.

I live in PA, but this is a summer only, fair weather car. It's always garaged, and never sees rain or snow. That being said, I'm all for easy too. If you're saying the polish is just going to brown, fade, and dull, I'd just as soon put exhaust paint on it.
