I prefer lighter tint ALL the way around. To me it looks cleaner, I've had dark tint(20%) it gets old.

I have 35% including the windshield. It's hard to tell from the glare but it looks great and isn't bad driving at night.

I would go 35% though if you do night driving with windows up. Darker like 5% of course looks killer, but the functionality of it would keep me away from it.

I've had several cars with various levels of tint. Here is my $0.02.....

Currently I have 35% on my doors and 20% on my hatch. I should have gotten 35% all around. It is dark enough to not allow people to see in, but also lends itself to decent visibility at night.

I have had cars with 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 35%, 40%.....I am used to it all and can see through all equally. When I see cars with 5% anymore, I personally don't like how it looks. It's all personal preference. Find some local cars with tint and sit in them during the day and night to compare.

Good luck

I feel the same way, it looks like they spray painted the windows black.

Getting my windows re-tinted this friday, the back glass is peeling and the side windows have a purple tint. Im still not sure on what percentage to do though. In missouri, there is no law on how dark the back glass can be but I think the side windows can only be 35%. Im just wondering if 35% will look to light on side windows. What do you all think.

Well we both have white ws6's look at mine it is 5 on back 35% on sides. The 35 on the sides from the outside you can kinda see someone in the car but cant tell who he is. He 5 % you cant see into from the outside. From the inside you can see out fine till it starts to get dark. Then all you can see is headlights. Backing up isnt that nad you just use your side mirrors at night. Who are you having do the windows?

It kinda depends on the color of your interior. An ebony colored interior will make not so dark tint appear to be darker from the outside.

exactly. Theres no need to go 5% on a black car with black interior. Next time around im going 15 or 20% cus it still gets very hot where i live.

35% sides, 20% back. I love it, dark enough to look classy, but not too dark to where it looks painted

I think 20 is the sweet spot 35 seems too light and 5 is too dark. That is what I will be going with.

Not like I've seen anybody get booted for this, but aren't tinted windows a no-no at drag strips? Seems like I've read in the NHRA book tinted windows wouldn't pass tech. Of course most people teching aren't going to climb under your car looking for a DSL or SFI approved bellhousing either, so most would probably let tinted windows slide right by. Just wondering if anybody was not allowed to run with dark tint on their windows.

I like my privacy with 5%. In sunny weather, 35% looks like the windows aren't even tinted and doesn't help to keep the interior any cooler in the summer. 20% is a happy medium, but still can be seen straight through if you look at the car up close.

This is true, ive never ran at a NHRA track but ive read that your not suppose to have tinted windows, but it seems it is not enforced.

I'm going with 35% all around and 50% windshield...any more is illegal, and the windshield is illegal but shouldn't be noticeable.
