Cool Got My Saladshooters

over the weekend i got some saladshooters from pick and pull.

200 with good tires

So now im going to plasti-dip them black. and depending on how well that goes i may plasti dip the whole car.(not likely)

i only had time to clean two of the rims and some of the clear coat is peeling so they will look better black.

Ill post pics as i get them done

:::EDIT:::::- i am well aware my phone takes pics as good as a potato can.

because tires are cheaper for smaller rims.

plus ill have thinner tires and lighter rims for better mpgs.
( i drive allot.)

And im one of the few that actually like these rims .
(if i had a 93-97 these wouldve never left the car)

Now i can make a profit off my c5s or use them for racing.

thats called winning

Nothing wrong with that.. I've left my stockers on cause its my dd as well and still blow my money on tires all the time I've thought about going to a more common size though because you cant find 16 245/255 in classifieds much. I do like stock rims though, makes everyone think your cars still stock too

255s are up there at the moment. will 275s fit?

also im not gonna be doing anything crazy. hell i dont even get traction now, so im not gonna go messing around on skinnier tires.
(unless i had something like nitto T05s...)

No. I wouldn't run 275s on an 8" wheel unless you have ridiculously tall sidewalls.

That's what I thought too. I'm looking for a spare set. Still, even time I do see "salad shooter" I pretty much assume 99.9% of the time it will be the 93-95 (not sure what year they ended) Camaro wheels. Awesome deal OP. Seems like I never see anything good at a pick and pull yard.

wow ive never seen those before. and yeah i was walking out of pick and pull kinda disappointed that i couldnt find what i was looking for and i saw this camaro that they were about to process.

So i stopped a guy and he said they might be able to hold them for me. it was a v6 i believe and it had those aftermarket ricer lights in the back....

anyways i cant wait to freshen these things up

The tires are just too wide. It's not safe to run a tire that is too wide (or too narrow) for the rim. The tires will have a large bulge and not be flush. You should consider running something in the range of 235-255.

Why do a lot of people run 245 in the front and 275 in the back on 16s then?

Just because a lot of people do it, doesn't mean it's smart or safe. Just like running a 315 on a 9.5" wheel, does it fit yes, is it smart/safe...no.

I can also smash a round peg in a square hole if I push it hard enough, but that's doesn't mean it's right.
