Gunmetal 17" or 18" C6 ZR1 rims. They would have an old school/honeycomb, new school, and complimentary look to them all at the same time.

So far those Year One snowflakes have REALLY grown on me. I think I will get them in 4th gen offset though and use spacers. I plan to do a brake upgrade, and from what I hear, it usually pushes the wheels out a bit, and I don't like the way they look pushed out too far. That and I plan to do an 8.8 swap and will most likely use a 4th gen rear for the axles, brakes, and brackets and such. So I when I do that I can remove the rear spacers and just run fronts.

I bought my year one wheels through restoreamusclecar.com on their eBay store. Best price I found and they showed up in like two days.

The more I look at the snowflakes I agree- in charcoal or black they would finish off the car nicely.

I think you can get them in white which would probably look awesome but would add maintenance.

Thanks for that link! I will probably go through them. I think those wheels would look perfect on my formula, but I would really have to lower my car to pull them off to a T. I don't think either of those 3rd gen's are low enough. They would look way better dropped another inch or so. Does anyone know if those cars are lowered already?

For those who were interested. I ended up just buying the 17x9.5 front and 17x11 Zr1 wheels... They are going to be painted to match the Charcoal on the bottom.

The paint got pushed back till around Feb due to the painter getting wrist surgery. So I still have a chance to change my mind on the wheels. Still tossing the idea of the snowflakes around...

Not sure if I want to be spending money on 315's for the rear...

Personally, I like the stockers, very rare and looked great.. The mesh ones were ok, but the stock Formula wheels with the fake hex head bolts were rare great looking animals.

I had an 89 5.0 TPI black Formula and miss the car. My 99 ha nearly triple the hp and tons of mods, but I still have very fond memories of the 89.

Great looking car you have there.

Budget I guess would be around $1500-2000... I don't mind used wheels at all as well, I would like a set that will look great paint matches in Charcoal...

I'm currently really digging these wheels, except I will get them with a stepped lip, and have the face painted to match the bottom of my car... what do you guys think. Will be setup so I don't have to run spacers also...

Those wheels are played out in my opinion... Also, those wheels above originated from a Shelby Cobra... They are a bit different from the Mustang wheels. I think I can get away just fine.

Was going to say Prostars. 17" knocks that out. RaceStars, 17x3.5" fronts, 15x10.5" rears. DarkStars would probably be close to the charcoal color. 17" and 15" set up always stands out to me.

I don't like the ones with the spinner- just doesn't fit the car in my opinion.

I personally would do 91-92 Firehawk wheels with white accent. I've always wanted a 3rd gen Formula 350, maybe one day.

Hopefully I'll get my car done soon and see you at The Tower shops.

Here's a set of FM5s I had powdercoated. I havent even mounted them since refinishing. They would look perrrrrfect on your color scheme and for your needs. 17x9.5 and 17x11. Let me know.
