Default Ceta mod today! Two attempts.

First I tried some flat black, it was like a primer. Came out really nice, but too light for the look I'm going for. So I did another coat. Satin/semi gloss. Looks great! I plan on painting my zr1s this color when I order them.
So here's the first attempt.

And the second

It'll look good with the blue and black theme I'm going with.

Thanks guys! The second one is the current set up. I'm happy with the results. I have a black hood at the moment, so it goes lol. (car needs paint)

P.S. does anyone else hate the t/a spoiler? I would trade for a formula, or v6 hatch in a heartbeat. I think it's awful. Looks like a shelf.

Looks great.

You may want to adjust your drivers side hood stop...drop it down a little.

You can probably find a formy hatch for free... haha. I had to give one away and load it into his truck... should be an easy sell for you...

I actually removed it to see if it would help.... Maybe the body shop can align it when I get it painted.

As for the formy hatch, if anyone wants to trade.... Let me know!!

Haha calipers are red but I want them black. But yes I usually see the ceta on lighter cars, and darker cars have a lighter ceta like my first attempt. I like it it's subtle. Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Funny because I really don't care for the forumula hatch. It looks shrunken or something heh.

This thread had so much win for me when I saw your T/A is NBM, can't wait to do it on my bird. Although I'm at a loss b/c I've always had my mind made up on a gloss black CETA and after seeing your charcoal like flat black I'm kinda feeling the charcoal color more now, either way thx for posting. Oh and btw I think your crazy for wanting to trade hatches, your going to destroy the look of your car but hey its your car.

What brand of paint did you use?

I hate the rear look of the t/a spoiler. Looks like a book shelf. The first attempt was high heat flat BBQ rusoleum. The second was krylon satin black.

Haha I like it, it's less flashy, less gaudy looking. I like simplicity. Hopefully I can find someone who wants a clean nbm t/a hatch!

2nd attempt takes my vote, looks good. Btw, get some stainless steel rear inserts to call it a day.
