Ok guys, I would get the CF in a heartbeat but something concerns me.
It's the weave of the Carbon. Judging by the pictures, it doesnt seem to be very uniform. That is, the weave looks kind of wavy.
For me, a very uniformed, straight weave makes a quality laid carbon piece.
I don't know if I want to spend the money if it isn't just right to me.
Anyone have any other pictures of a CF sail panel?

I dont know if i like the carbon fiber look. I would save the money and just paint one black. The clear resin on the carbon fiber i've seen has fades pretty quick and looks like crap. Then you'd be stuck. If it's good stuff that will last and you like it, go for it. It's different. If you've got the money it wont hurt to get one and see how you like it. You can paint it if you dont.

Agreed. I like the look of the carbon fiber e posed, but all of the pics I've seen on and off cars show that the weave is not of very high quality. I wouldn't put low quality carbon fiber parts in my bikes because they made the bike look cheap. Keep in mind those were very small parts. A sail panel to a fbody is huge, I think they are cool in theory but poor execution of the carbon fiber version. Unfortunate but true, I'm happy in general that they stepped up to the plate to make the replacement panel.
