Modifying hood latch for superhawk hood?

Default Modifying hood latch for superhawk hood?

What exactly has to be done to the latch? And are the.stock hood shocks ok to use with it?

are you refering to the secondary hood catch? I would think the hood latch and shocks would be fine

I cut mine as shown. I then shortened the handle about an inch, flattened the end and re-attached by drilling into the triangular stamp. The end product is the same as the original, just shorter.

Question 93-97 Hood Release Lever

I have a non outlaw superhawk, but I just bent the stock release and it cleared the front of the hood no problem. No pics at the moment, but can take a few for those interested.

I cut mine. I like that no one else can open my hood now. Because you have to reach in further to UN hook the safety hook.

I actually just took the secondary catch off and it opens and closes fine now.
