New Appearance Mods.. New PICS!
Took the car out for a few pictures, figured I'd post them up since I've done a couple little things lately (over the past few months). Unfortunately I went a little dark with the pics which hides some of the details lol.
some of the things redone:
- Retint all around:
.........35% on the windshield
.........5% on the hatch, with black vinyl over the dot matrix area at the top
.........double 35% on the sides = ~12%
- Black wingtips on the spoiler, from 4th circle
- "Trans Am" license plate frame from emblempros (custom made without the two lower bolt holes. Thanks Roger!)
- New carbon fiber shorty antenna. got it on ebay
- Custom decals on rear center panel. Courtesy of board member jlincks
- powdercoated my wheels all black (used to have "machined" lip), also moved up from 18x8.5 all the way around, to 10.5" deep dish in the rear
- New tires all around. Hankook 245/40 up front, 295/35 Bridgstone Potenzas out back
- Custom wheel adapters all the way around, 15mm in the rear, 27mm up front. Ordered from www.motorsport-tech.com
- Feneders rolled in the rear. Fender lips cut out in the front
- 6LE splitter reinstalled, wrapped in 3M carbin fiber vinyl (unfortunately you can't really see it in the pics, I'll post more soon)
interior (pics to come soon)
- A4 shifter adapter, with new shift ball (with firebird logo). Shaft also shortened
- A4 shift boot from Grand Prix
-also just recently finished up my engine bay project: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...ngine-bay.html just need to repaint the lower air box piece black
Very soon to-do list:
- got my Eibach Sportlines ready to go on in the rear, which should drop it another half-inch (advertised 1.8" drop, compared to BMR's 1.25" drop)
- wider bumper mod: https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...ning-pics.html
- re-do tail lights, since the left side is waayy darker: https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...ail-light.html
- re-paint calipers red, and add "Trans Am" decals
- strip VHT tint from front lights and get these instead: http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...-blackout-kit/ dont like the way the lights look when using VHT
- gotta get back to work on the targa top... it's been pissing me off to no end

Car looks sick!
... now get that new driver side tail light so they match already
Or... I wonder how it would look with the reflectors of both tail lights to be painted a deep gloss black or gunmetal? Yeah, they might not be quite as bright, but the darker lens appearance without using VHT might look kinda cool yet without hassle from cops since "Officer I don't have any covers or paint on my tails, see? it is just how they are..."
Maybe not on a red car so much, as I think red lights look best on a red car anyway, but I'm thinking more on NBM or black cars in particular.
Probably a stupid idea.

Nice! Fourth shot is my favorite. I think you're making a bad decision putting the sportlines in the rear though. Keep the bmrs and just take out the isolator and do the hose mod. Mine sits perfect with that setup.
