Default Altec Show N Go License Plate Mounting Location

Picked one of these hideaway license plate holders for rather cheap and now I'm kind of lost as far as where to install it.
Anyone that has this installed, can you post some pics of where you drilled/installed the screws into the bumper?

Firebird/Trans Am guys, can you post some pics of it installed, trying to get a general location of where to have it (center/left/right of bumper).

I have a decent idea of where I want it, but I don't want to start drilling holes in the bumper without knowing for sure.

I had mine right in the center of the nose, mock it up and make sure you have enough clearance for it. And everyone I know that has one had it right in the center of the nose.

go to 1 min mark and you can see my manual show n go plate.

Does it feel pretty solid when it's in the up position? I don't want it to be bouncing back and forth while I'm driving around and scratch my bumper.

The manual one is spring loaded, not really worth it. Not to hard to flick it up manually.

Comes with a little stick on pad to go between the bumper and the plate.

Ive had both the electric and manual versions, currently have the manual on the car right now.

Is it worth the extra 100 bucks? Depends on how you see it, if you take the car to shows regularly and want a "wow" type factor then sure its worth it. Other then that, i dont think its worth it. Its a short distance for it to work properly, i tried sitting in the car and pushing the button. Idk if that was to far or there was interference but i never was able to fully get the plate in the up position. That's just what i think though, its cool and nice to have the electric version but if its your daily then it wouldnt matter much. I only hid the plate when i took pictures of the car.

Do the electric ones tell you when it is all the way either up or down so you can operate it from inside the vehicle w/o burning out the motor.

If i remember correctly, you can somewhat hear the motor if your inside the car and have it turned off with no music on but you wont know if its fully up or not without getting out and checking it but i do think the motor shuts down when its fully up or hidden. Its been so long since ive had it that i really cant remember.

To me it is a cruise night weekend car that my buddy will take to work once a week if weather permits. So I am guessing it is a mini crane sounding motor & and it's not a one touch. Lol. I may call the manfu to ask what the range is and if it will work from inside the car. I will prob go electric because my friend needs a hip due to putting a vette in three pieces as a kid. It must have just been a bad day because he does drive well.

They are all the same, or at least close enough. Mine is the "universal" model.
Still haven't installed it yet.
