Going to have to get some of that. I need to redo the berger panel on mine and was thinking about just plasti-dipping. Have you used it?

No but I have watched way too many hours on youtube lol. I'm going to be trying out a couple different colors on my wheels this spring to decide what I like before I have them powder coated.

2 colors in mind are matte black base coat with a copper metalizer over top to give a bronze color or a matte black base with a white pearlizer on top to give a silver pearl color.

End jack

You can spray a regular clear coat on top of the dip, but I guess it's a PITA to peel off when you do that.

I know, but they don't sell it locally. I'm not 100% sure how 'glossy' it actually makes it though.

The script? The door badges?

That's fine. I didn't expect everyone to like it. Can I ask what you dislike about it? Is it the concept, or the fact that it's not a glossy black?

There's actually a video from DipYourCar.com on Youtube that has a like FAQ where he debunks myths. He sprayed clear coat onto a panel that was plasti-dipped and it still peeled off, but it didn't come off in sheets, it ripped into tiny pieces easier.

I vote go gloss. I went another step and went with a metallic black and I love it. Going to be redoing the CETA in the metallic here in a few weeks.

and one showing the metal flake:

Here is the only other pic I can find of it, and its in a fbody's natural environment!

Looks too close to the color of your wheels without matching....looks off to me. Gloss black would be spot on.

Why do people insist on painting interior parts with plasti dip? I guarantee you that it will not hold up on parts you regularly touch or brush against.

I think you should try the top of the spoiler too, think it might really set it off!

For that you are supposed to use the dip that comes in a can and is not an aerosol. You literally dip it in there. Totally different application.
