Default To Berger, Or Not To Berger...

Soo, I'm about to pull the trigger on getting a Berger panel (Gloss) but am having second thoughts.

I do like the way they look on some cars.

However, I have my tail lights VHT'd, which I like and don't want to change. I'm thinking the panel may be too much black since I will be adding more with the lights already being black.

Having the tail lights VHT'd is a nice touch imo because the car is red, and the black changes up all that red.

If I were to Berger, I would be adding red Camaro inserts. But I'm trying to picture it and I'm not too crazy about it. Maybe if the lights were not aready VHT'd, I just don't want it to look like I have mis-matched colored parts on the car lol

What do you guys think? This is how the car used to look, Only difference now is the rims are black Zr1's with deep dish 315s out back.

If you want to keep the tinted tail lights I would just keep it the way it is. I think the berger panel will look kind of funky with the tinted tail lights.

You could always plasti-dip the panel, so if you dont like it you could peel it back off.

See I agree with both of you 100%. SSred2k2 your car looks awesome. I love how it looks on red cars, but with having the stock tail lights. I think with the panel, the stock tail lights are perfect. Both may be too much indeed.

Love the avatar, lol.

Yeah it really isn't that bad. I do dig it, I think I'm going to have to sit on this one and postpone my purchase until I figure out for sure what I want to do.

I would take the stuff off the tail lights and do the tail light panel. Helps break up the rear but I personally don't like tail lights being tinted but that's just me.

Very unique man, one of a kind. Love what you did with the all red tail lights and inserts. I think I am going to have to lose the VHT for me to go through with this though.

If you do a Berger make sure it's gloss...as it matched the sail panel.

Everyone has a berger panel because it looks the best just like everyone does the CETA mod lol

Of course I'm biased

I was just HOPING that somebody with some LT1 tails showed up. Love them and the way they flow with the body lines over the tri colors. IMHO I think that if you did the berger with red fill-ins and lt1 tails that'd be a sexy look. I don't really care all that much for the mod, but it does make some cars stand out and breaks up all the monotony

I think black tails and panel looks good. I have thought about removing the tint from my reverse lights though, flows with the hatch better.. atleast with a white car that is.

what i think would look cool and its kinda what im doing on my silver car... go grab some 1500 and wetsand the berger to get the clear to allow somthing to stick and then get some crimson pearl and a little bit of black base and mix it in with the clear and give it a crimson tint to it... in certain sunlight it would look the same but in others it would be darker and pop
