If you haven't yet, read the Ask a Professional Detailer thread. I blame GoFast for my obsession with this stuff.

I did the car for one of my best friends wife. She said it didn't look that nice when she bought it new.

A friend of a friend thought I had repainted the car. LOL. That's one of the best complimants I have got so far.

Thank you. I don't think I'll ever get out that way but if I do I'll look you up.

Tried to take some more pic's earlier this evening but they all came out the same. I need a better camera or stick with doing black vehicles.

I got a few random pics. My friend and his wife came picked the car up tonight. She was excited to say the least.

Cleaned and treated trim

Remember my WTF? pic from earlier? She said that had never been cleaned since she bought the car.

Looking much better

Pic of the Mustang and my 89 T/A

I'm going to start on a 70' Charger 440 six pack car tomorrow night. My friend restores old high end Mopars. The car was painted about ten years ago and has sat in a garage ever since. He picked it up last year and put it back together. He wants me to go over it before he delivers it to the customer next week. Keep an eye out for that thread later this week.

A big thanks to everyone interested in my work. I really do appreciate it.

+1 on the glass correction. And PLEASE tell us how to do the headlights. I have restored headlights before, but those look like they came out of the box!

For the glass I used Pinniacle water spot remover polish, megs MF finishing disc on the rupes 21. It took a long time to go and there were still some I couldn't get out.

For the headlights I used megs unigrit 3 inch sanding discs, 320 dry on a drill, the used wet sanded w/ 500,800 and the finishing discs 1000 and 3000 grit on an PC 7424XP using an interface pad. After that I used a LC 4 inch tangerine pad w/ M105 then a 4 inch LC white CCS pad with M205.

Thank you for the compliments. I was at my friends house tonight and his wife was still talking about how happy she is with it. It's nice to see someone excited about their car again.

It's like when your woman looses weight...you're like DAMN now I remember why I like you so much.

Yeah go ahead and sig that.

Yes it is! It finishes down quite nicely though. I couldn't imagine trying to do this car a couple years ago when I was just starting out with the PC and foam pads.
