Default L.E.D tailight bulbs

does anyone know of a company now that makes direct replacement l.e.d. taillight bulbs for an 02 Z28??? I want to install them and walk away. I would like them as bright as the sun when the brakes come on or the turn signal flashes.. thanks in advance . the oldman....

^^ Yes, autolumination has a couple high-powered bulb options. Whatever you get make sure the wattage is high. Like 7+ watts. V-leds.com has a good selection of high powered bulbs. Be prepared to spend $30+ on the pair (sure you can get cheaper ones, BUT they won't be bnright enough when you press on the brakes).

I've tried a bunch of different LED bulbs and none were very good for use as brake lights. They're fine for turn signals and reverse lights as long as you get some nice high powered ones, but there's not enough difference between the "dim" and "bright" modes. I would be worried that drivers behind you might not notice the difference between your running lights and your brake lights.

As of now I'm running stock brake lights bulbs in my car with LED turn signals and reverse lights. If the LED companies can come up with a fix for the issue I described then I'd switch to LED brake lights as well, but until then the regular old bulbs will have to do.

Problem is that our tail lights have a reflective housing that amplifies the light to shine back at the lens. LED bulbs project light straight through the lens and don't work as well. Newer cars that have strictly LED tail lamps are engineered with tail lamps built specifically for LEDs.

There are wide-angle style SMDs that fill out the factory refractor since they have LEDs surrounding the bulb

See what I mean:

I have led's for my turn signals and only used one el12 flasher. However that thread says to replace both flashers... which one is the second one? is it the one on the left side under the steering column? I already did the one on the right side.

Vendor should engineer new taillights housings that use new LEDs. I think it would sell but I'm sure it would be expensive.
