Does anyone know of any spray paint that matches a Navy Blue Mettalic Car. I want to paint my Valve Covers, Throttle body, and MAF ends. What kind of paint do I have to use?

I remember I was trying to pick up some Sunset Orange Metallic for a friend in a spray can. Think there is a problem with real metallics in a can, clogs the nossle.

Go to pep boys and get the dupli color paint for touching up either nbm or indigo blue its damn close

028 NBM is a hard duplicolor spray to find but its out there, I had to custom mix some

you can get 5oz spray cans of touch up paint from GM. They are pricey..something like 8 bucks a can but works very well. Its very "wet" heavy paint and the can must be nice and warm or it'll come out funky but its very nice looking when it dries.

I've gotten them a few times for friends with my discount at the dealer so its like 5 bucks a can..just expensive because a 5oz can doesn't last long

Will that work on high temps and calipers?

There is a place by me that matches paint from the factory in a can...

i don't think that gm touch up will work in real high temp applications, afterall it is just touch up paint. i've used it to do an intake manifold before for a vette, but i laid down 500 degree primer first and then 500 degree clearcoat on top of it to keep the heat away from it. does look very nice though here is that intake i did, sanded primed painted and clearcoated

Duplicolor DSGM505 Navy Blue Metallic, factory color match and you can get it at Wal Mart, I think it was $3 a can, 5 oz......it's popular, I had to go to a couple of them before I found it..........

How well of a finish could you get with that Duplicolor if you prepped the area very well, etc? How would two headlight doors look side by side, one done via spray gun and one done via the Duplicolor, assuming both had the same prep and finishing work?

I've painted **** like gas doors, rocker panels, blended door bottoms etc, the stuff is durable as hell, Id do both doors so they look consistent,Id sand the parts, putty heavy scratches, sand with 320 wet, use the dupli color "self etch" primer or "sealer/filler primer, sand again and shoot, you can get the dupli clear coat as well, than color sand and buff it...
