Default My New DD/Quarter Life Crisis Car

Well since the t/a is gonna be down for awhile and I was in a good financial position to do it... I pulled the trigger on a C5. Found this jewel in northern Virginia with just 18383 miles on the clock for 19k. 2 owner car, all the service records are there. Interior is burgundy which i wasnt crazy about but its grown on me quickly. My main goal for this car is to leave it as stock as possible and just do some appearance stuff (with the exception of exhaust, a vararam, and a tune).

Plans for the car as of now are Charcoal fill letters and grand sport stripes, already plastidipped the rear valence (ceta style), Taillight and corner blackouts, tint, remove the side moldings, a front splitter, and maybe lower it a bit.

As for the interior, switching everything to LED and installing a double din with nav (soon as i find a cheaper bezel)

Still undecided on wheels but im thinking either black or charcoal with a chrome lip. Any suggestions?

I've drove plenty of them before but its been an interesting experience actually owning one so far. These things are so smooth compared to F-bodies... i'm still a little in shock at how well it drives (although it needs a trans tune or gears because its a pig under 3k)

Tell me what you guys think or give me your suggestions!

Nice pick up for sure. Any pictures of the interior? I wouldn't do black wheels, but a gun metal would be nice.

ill have to post up the pics of the interior tomorrow. I must say the red is growing on me... it dose need some led updates though, factory lighting on the gauges is amazing but everything else looks cheap.

few updates. I went ahead and plastidipped the rear valance (gonna paint it at a later point in time) and threw my c6 wheels off the trans am on it for now until the t/a is back on the road. Really changed the look of the car. My next mod is gonna be interior LED's.

Love the vette! And yes after owning one a few years back, it makes my current car feel like a bucket of bolts in comparison lol but i still have more love for fbody looks, simplicity and bang for the buck

Haha im glad to see the sickness isn't just me. Starts with a lid or a cat back. Then just a stripe here, wheels there. Next thing ya know your calling around asking who sells nitrous oxide like a crack head looking for a rock lol.

I'll eventually do an H/C/I setup on it... just not real sure which... id like it to be somewhat mild when i do to keep this thing cruise friendly. First real non bolt on performance mod needs to be gears though, these 2.73s suck butt

Figured id throw a quick update into this thread since ive made some changes to her. Current project is airbrushing the fuel rail covers... should have an update there soon too. I did an exhaust and intake (so much for stock) and ive played around with hp tuners on it a bit. This car continues to impress me everytime I drive it. Its filled the gap in the downtime on the t/a for sure. Should be back on that project soon too. Well heres the updated pics, tell me what you guys think!
