Default Need help removing acid rain/hard water spots on side windows?

I have had this problem for over 2 years and no one can figure out how to clean these spots off. They look like hard water spots and a local glass shop told me it looked like acid rain spots. I have tried everything to clean it and can't get them to come clean. Does anyone know what to use to clean it off the glass?

I have good luck with Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish from zaino. It got off all the water spots off my window on my old car. I still use it. Some amazing stuff.

PM or e-mail smokin' joe 00 ss and ask him what he used, I can't remember what Joe used but he had the worse case of hard water staining on his windshield I'd ever seen.

FORGET STEEL WOOL! i posted this a while back on LS1.com, but it bears repeating.
1)go to grocery store and buy 'Bar Keepers Friend'. it's with all the other cleansers.
2)wet car as normal before u begin to wash. sprinkle it onto a damp cloth and rub ur windows.
3)wash car as normal except wash and rinse ur windows twice.
4)dry car and enjoy crystal-clear windows. (for extra insurance, buff with DRY newspaper.)
i think i'll post a more detailed write up in the 'how-to' section. enjoy for now.

There is a company in Hawaii called Pacific Professional Products that makes a water spot remover. I forgot the name of it but if you call them they will know what you are talking about. A friend of mine has some and told me to try it on my spots as also. I was in the same situation of not being able to remove them. This stuff is awsome. If nothing else it's worth giving them a call and asking for one of their catalogs to see what all they have. (808) 847-5933. If you do decide to use their spot remover wear rubber gloves.

Zaino is expensive and a special order, which means it's gonna take a while for it to get to ur door. u can buy Bar Keepers Friend right now at ur local grocery store for cheaper. Zaino requires very hard rubbing while BKF does not. believe me, i love Zaino, but this stuff cannot be beat. i know from experience. as soon as someone tries this, i'm sure they'll post up their happy results.

Why don't you just go to any store and buy any product made to remove hard water stains (Lime Away, CLR, Zep, etc.) Use a scotch brite pad and a little cleaner and you will be good to go.
