Default Plastidipped red lip

Ive been away from the forums for the last year for school and have had no time for the car really. Needed a mental break today and I have always wondered how the full red lip would look so the only thing I could do quickly and temporarily was some plastidip and glossifier. I probably should have taken more care to prevent overspray tho but w.e. its rubber.
Opinions of before and afters?

Final Idea:

to....

and...

to...

Before:

During:

After:

I think it could look good, but not on that wheel and not on an Fbody.

I guess I shall take better pics when the sun it out. My dilemma is that I have some curbing and the black centers are getting faded. So eventually I want to bring the whole wheel down to bare and fill in those little fake bolts and I want to have some sort of accent of red with either a flat or gloss black base. I like the way it looks with the red lip in person but Im not sure if Ill get tired of it or not so Im gonna live it out until the plastidip starts coming off.

I, too, think it could look good: https://ls1tech.com/forums/8446053-post4.html. Definitely take some better pictures, maybe add some tire shine beforehand.

I was looking at that viper but I couldnt find any f-bodies with full red lips, and ya tire shine will be on for next pics, didnt finish until after dark tonight. and those dammed fake *** bolts really throw the contrast equalization off. I might have to permanent marker them cuz they are a sore sight.

I'm with Sommer, that lip is just to fat, if it was thinner then it could work.

I think it looks better now that I have seen it in sun. Definately want to make this work but I think the whole center needs to be black to pull it off. No chrome bolts or center cap.

I like it, also a black berger panel would go good with your tail lights.

+1 This my plasti-dipped berger panel. Only reason I have it plastidipped is cause I had some extra laying around after doing my friend's wheels.

my thinking as well... Think it'd look better if you did the whole lip black first, to get rid of the polished look. then do just a 1/4"-1/2" red stripe around the lip. More of a subtle look. not so in-your-face

I actually like it, it is a little wide but looks good anyway.

I don't really like the berger panel with blacked out tails. I thinks its to much black and I don't like the weird curve of the reverse lights that would give it a look of a square with two ovals on the top side of the ends. I think the contrast I have back there now is just right. but thanks for the suggestion

I also have actually thought about this as well, I just have to many fatter contrasting features such as the side stripes and the rest of the black on my car and I think the fatter red lip compliments it better than just a full black wheel and lip with a red stripe.
What would you think if I painted the centers red and had a black lip (with a possible tiny red pinstripe on the edge of the lip)?

I like the red lip but you need to painted your center caps gloss black to match the spokes!
