such a horrible story, I've always admired your car soooo much. I wish mine looked half as good as yours does/did

the fact you herd it leave will haunt you. such a f'ed up situation. and knowing you wont ever get the time/money you spent so much on. I know im not helping you feel any better, but karma is a B*tch and you will get something better/nicer/cleaner/faster

good luck with everything brother.

thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it. I'll definitely be back at it with something else!

honestly, I enjoyed the car very much over the years, but I know I can do it again. It's a big financial hit, but I'll get passed that.

no, and this is the one thing I regret more than anything. at the end of the day, preventative measures can only go so far. if the thief really wants your stuff, they can take it. But having LoJack actually gives you a really good shot at recovering the vehicle, as well as a good chance at catching the thiefs, which is more important than anything.

LoJack will be purchased for every vehicle I drive for now on, without a doubt.

The moment I saw that picture on Facebok this morning, I knew exactly who's car it was. The good news is, the news is spreading very very quickly. I saw the post this morning in Florida and about 4 more times throughout the day. Hopefully you get it back, it is definitely a car that won't stay under the radar.

Sucks to hear that, looked like a great ride. I had a car stolen saint patricks day 1981, 70 Chevelle SS, so I know your pain. Prepare for the worse, I would start getting every receipt you had for the car together. You have pics so that is good. Insurance company will try to low ball you, but if you are well prepared, have lots of documentation on hand, they will work with you. I didn't check but if your car is a 6 speed, the book value is higher for them. Get to know the insurance guy who handles your report. Let him know you are a car guy, know your car and its condition. I would rather you get the car back, but also want you to be prepared. If they catch the guy or persons who stole it, having them drug down the street behind your car would be a just punishment IMHO. Good luck, I'll say some prayers that you get the car back.

I saw the post from GMHTP magazine on facebook and shared it on to my friends and LSX parts page I'm a member of. Hopefully you can fully recover the car in the same condition it was taken. Loved your car. Best of luck J.

Absolutely horrible to hear this, that is such a tastefully done car, I always liked looking at the nice pics you took of it. Hopefully they haven't done anything too crazy with it and you get it back in one piece.

Terrible news, sorry to hear. Stay positive and hopefully it will be recovered.

And the news has spread very much, saw on f.b. many times throughout the day and didnt want to believe it was yours.

Best of luck and new ventures are awaiting or resurrecting old ones.

The idea of theft recovery is great. I wouldnt bother with lojack, I had it and had a car stolen and never recovered. I had a different security system put in on the car I have now. Its a gps based theft recovery which guarantees recovery in 48 hours or your purchase price of the car is paid to you. Even if its got 1 payment left. Ill grab the pamphlet tomorrow. Lojack last time I checked is frequency based so if its scooted out of town or state quick they probably wont be in range to find it. Either way something is better than nothing.

My SS got stolen and they broke the front left rim off while driving, so i miraculously got it back with minimal damage. They ripped out the body control module and put a screwdriver into my key hole. My window was open all night and i never heard a thing. It was the worst feeling for 5 hours until I got the call that they found it. My car is not even nearly as clean as your bird so I know it hurts that much more

I'm still in shock your car is gone James. Too many of my friends have had this happen to them now here in the bay.

Excellent advice and with the large number of LS cars being stolen here I have looked into options and the one you speak of is one of the better investments. LoJack isn't what it's all cracked up to be.
