Default From the Adam's Detail Studio: 2014 Corvette Stingray in Lime Rock Green

We had the pleasure of having a C7 in the Studio recently, and our man Chris "Mook" Gargano did a New Car Prep on it. I'll share a few before/after pictures with you here, but you can find the entire write up over on our forums here:

Dealer must of sent it through a drive through wash before customer received it. ( just read thread, thats more than just a contaminated duster)

Side note, didnt know they had any other c7 color but red, white, and blue. All i see pics of. Green very nice.

Good job bringing it back to better than new.

Some people are enjoying the hell out of their cars while the weather is still decent.

Glad to see the car is in tip top shape and that GM is bringing back green.

I still love the way a green 96 SS looks.

Dealer prep, rail dust from shipping ect. I had 42 hours invested correcting a 300 mile 2013 Camaro 1LE this past week. It was a mess.

The Vette looks gorgeous, nice job.

^^^ I never understood why they don't do a better job on detailing and delivery protection(such as covers) to protect them better

Dealerships don't care. Fact is most people don't care either. People want clean and shiny. I would venture to guess 95% of people don't notice scratches or swirls.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

You're spot on as far as dealer prep goes. The vast majority of people just want the car to be "clean" when they take delivery. That usually means running it through the car wash and calling it good.

For those of us who are picky, you've come to the right place. Even a BRAND NEW car needs some TLC to set a good foundation going forward.

Also, I'm the last guy who would ever choose green as a vehicle color, but Lime Rock Green is BEAUTIFUL in person. Tons of metal flake, it's a winner in my book.

You can thank your dealer's detail department for that.
