I'm going to pull the trigger for some Sunoco side (body only) stripes since I have the VFN hood. It's a black SS so I'm considering a Charcoal Metallic or a Matte-ish black (whatever the vinyl is)

Here's what it was with a Charcoal Metallic Manta stripe:

 

Matte black would look more sleek, but charcoal will stand out more and look a little better IMO

 

i voted matte black, but imo both would look really good.

 

I think both would look good too. I had the charcoal for so long, I think I want something different. I just don't know if the black would contrast enough to even be worth the effort.

I would go with Charcoal. Matte black is just tooo subtle in my opinion on black cars.

 

You might be able to have both. Matte black stripe with charcoal pinstripe around it.

Or if you went with stripes like I have... Matte black with charcoal X...

 

Do the matte stripe with charcoal letters and a red x to match the SS emblems.

 

JaxCam02 - I'm going for subtle, but I wonder if it's too subtle too. I wouldn't do the LSX or any other lettering for that reason. Looks good, just not what I'm going for. I guess for the minimal cost of decals, I'll go with one and if I don't like it, I can just trade it out. I'll post up pics when I get them on. I'm leaning more towards the black. I'm hoping it will be almost unnoticeable cause I really like an all black car, it's just to plain on mine IMO. We'll see.

Yeah, I've decided to go with the black. Since the vinyls are so inexpensive, worst case I re-order with charcoal if I don't like it.

Glad you are going with the matte black, thats what I voted for.

Like mentioned above, they are ghost like and somewhat hidden, but once you get light directed to the vinyl it pops really nice.

Here are some blackbird stripes on did a while ago on my old WS6:

 

Sweet *** car! I take pics right after a wash too. Black is only clean for about .002 seconds after you're done washing it.

I'm excited about the black/black combo. I think I'm supposed to get them as a gift... so it might be a month or so until I update. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions/votes.
