Default finished my Morimoto Mini H1 install

Need to adjust a little but they are nice and level and very bright i decided not to do demon eyes and just keep them normal. So far, they are pretty sweet. Haven't been able to bring them out at night as the roads are still **** here but soon...

Looks great. Its always great to see HID done the right way. I think something like this looks 10 times better than the aftermarket lights.

HA, I just PM'd you back asking if you were gonna put up pics of your projectors then I saw that you already have. They look really nice! You should try to take some cutoff pix if you can

Looks amazing dude. Do you have a build thread on this or anything? I would love to try it myself being that I have an extra set of headlights. I dont feel like spending $500-600 on BLS even though i know theyre awesome.

I just followed Chris' thread. Its a pretty good writeup. The one thing I did was a lot of measuring and making sure the lights were level before I sealed up the lenses.

Did you level the projector prior to putting the headlights back together? I've got a set to the point of assembling but haven't decided what the best way to level the projector is.

When I was doing mine, i just stuck them in the headlight housing as straight as I could before I sealed the lens back on then only tightened the lock ring by hand. I went out and stuck the light on the car. From there all I needed to do was a little tweaking. I was lined up pretty well with the marks I taped on the wall from my previous ebay projectors. Just needed to adjust them a tad horizontally.

What i did was after i got everything ready i took them out and put them in the car and made sure they were horizontally level. Then i tightened down the nut fully(with some light thread locker even) and made sure one more time that it was level. They were so i pulled the housings out and put the lenses on and sealed them up. I didn't want to have to take them apart or adjust again once they were done.

Ya. And if worst comes to worst and you need to adjust the projector a little horizontally after everything is all sealed up and on the car, you can use a pair of needle nose pliers and turn the lock nut (after it has fully deformed and molted to the threads of the projector). It will turn the whole projector and the lock ring together because the silicone ring between the back of the projector and the headlight housings. It will just slide when you turn it.

well i went to get pics for you. Please excuse the mess in the garage. I've had several projects going on in there also my roommate likes to leave a mess in there. Also the drivers side fog has a 5000k HID in it and the passengers side is a stock bulb. I dropped the other and broke it so just waiting to get my replacement. Gives an idea of the output vs. the stockers.

Hard to see the cutoff well in the garage door since it's not flat and its a shitty door but it's got a pretty damn nice cutoff.

Hey Coil Train, did you get 5000k? Are they the 3five bulbs from TRS?

I can't remember the ones i got but they were 5000k. I do know they were the better ballast ones. The HID's were like $60, Morimoto's were $120, and then paint and silicone. Maybe $200. Alot cheaper then BLS headlights .
