Lavender color Formula: needs emergency testosterone
A friend of mine got a killer deal on a Formula 6 speed car he is using mostly for autox. The downside is someone painted it lavender.
He is looking for ideas on what to do to this thing. Repainting it is out of the question for now, but the idea of having it professionally plastidipped has been brought up. Any other ideas on what can be done?
He already installed Strano springs and Konis and is working on other suspension stuff. The car will be raced on c4 Sawblades on Hoosier A6s.

-I would say remove the door moldings, but there's a chance it was painted with them on
-windshield tint
-tire shine needed badly! lol

Unless the lavender-ness is just not coming through on my screen, I see it as more of a blue and not too bad looking. I would skip any cash invested plastidipping or vinyl wrapping and try to score a used a set of black ccw classics or forgeline GAR3 wheels for a light autox wheel and to get rid of the flying carpet look the sunken in wheel wells stock 16" wheels provide. A light dished wheel would go along way in a major appearance upgrade and would both be form and fuction.
Worse case if he has to do something about the color, whenever I can't afford something I always have had luck just doing research then doing it myself. Vinyl wrapping is not hard but an exercise in the patience. Same with plastidip. Its not hard to paint through a cheap paint gun, and painting through a gun will open up all the color option, glossifiers ect.

On The Tree
Hello,
I'm the owner of this poor car. It's actually a really decent paint job, and yes they did the jambs and everything. A friend suggested finding a good livery, would be cool to do an old school purple race livery or something
I haaate the stock wheels, I'm not spending any money to shine the tires lol
I'm getting a National Tour decal package this weekend, it'll be pretty stickered up here soon. These are my new numbers. Numbers are 12", Class letters are 6" - should have some updated pictures next week

I actually have some experience with this color. After my first re-paint, using a different black tint than we should have, we got this. I called it "Whales Vagina". I liked the color but I didnt LOVE it. I had it for a year but really wanted a dark Charcoal hence the repaint with Ashen Gray Met. With the back RTS's, Tint and the black shading on the paint near the hood scoops, front fogs and side vents, it did make the color tolerable.
