Default Carpet W/O Center Console Cutout

I'm planning on getting rid of the factory center console and cutting out all of the brackets for the console and getting new carpet and a new shift boot to clean the interior up and give it a muscle car feel. I'm also going to relocate the power outlet to the glove box to make charging easier with no wires getting tangled in the shifter, the lt1 layout is terrible for this.

Is there any lightweight carpet (no jute backing) that will hold up to DD use that doesn't have any cutouts and extends to the rear area of the car? I have been looking for a couple days and haven't come up with much. ACC seems to be the best option, but they still cut the center of the console area. I really don't want Oztite (or whatever its called) because I don't want to glue it down and it doesn't seem like it would hold up to continuous use.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears

The only option I have found is universal mold yourself carpet, or velcroing the two halves together if using ACC carpet. I'm so sick of the cheesy plastic center console I'm thinking about just tearing it out and leaving a hole there. Or putting a piece of carpet over the hole

I'm starting to think that you are right, all of the molded options that I have found have the cutout for the console. I don't have any upholstery even close to me so the best option may be the Oztite, but I really don't want to glue down carpet. With my luck I would have to tear it all back out 2 days after the glue dried

I noticed speed inc doesn't sell the lightweight carpet anymore. They only sell an OE replacement which probably is cut out. Let me know how this works out for you, I have a fixed back sparco racing seat in my car which rendered the console useless due to seating position. If anything it just gets in the way now.

I'm basically in the same boat with aftermarket solid mounted seats.

stockinteriors.com has molded replacement carpet, but it also has the center console cut. They do sell hot rod kits but they are pricey IMO
