I put a momo wheel on my T/A a couple of years ago and have a new clock sprg for if I got back to oem.But my intention was to move the wheel back so
I would sit farther back because I also made some brackets for the seats and moved them back 3.50 inches and it all feels great cruzin now.You can buy the air bag bypass fuses/resis from a lot of places. You just have to look close at the desciptions cause feds don't like it.

ANything other questions?
With this setup is the wheel in the same position as the stock wheel?

I have;
Short Hub: SRK-170H
Quick Release: SRK-250BK

and am trying to decide on a wheel, flat, dish, how much dish, etc.

Thanks

My wheel is flat, and now sits about an inch to two inches closer to divert

Is there any play at all in the quick release (most of them are notorious for this, and it's why I have not done one yet)??

My setup is; a Momo 2401 hub, with a sparco suede mod 383, 330mm wheel.

I LOVE this wheel, and it was the very FIRST thing I did to this car when I bought it new in Jan. 2000 (I had the parts waiting on the factory ordered build), as to me , the factory wheel KILLS, not only the looks, but the whole 'feel' of the car (and mine was even worse than everyone else's, as it was the base, plastic POS ).

Default Saftey inspections ?

I have a silly question.

Not having the airbag is personal choice but
Is the car technically legal to pass inspection?

depends on the state. I contacted my insurance company beforehand and they told me if any injury I have is concluded to have been caused by lack of airbag then they wont cover. But they could pretty much make that claim now with any injury I sustain in that car.

Hey jax, is the purpose of the quick release to be able to remove the wheel? Is that necessary for the install? I saw you posted in my other thread, the wheel looks good. Did you get all the stuff from that site or is there a distributor? What would you say your total cost for this project was? Thanks.

First things first I had to order off eBay after searching part numbers I found from their website. The quick release is not needed it's just to remove the wheel easily And a fun little gadget that right now that's all it is. It pretty much serves no purpose except for peace of mind in bad areas.
as far as cost I think I paid $280 for all the pieces and had to front like $180 for the steering wheel puller but you get it back when you return the kit. If you don't get the quick release you can do it for under $200.
Any other questions?

^^^THIS is EXACTLY WHY i want one!

But then again, if the lowlife Gs want it bad enough, they will steer it with a pair of vice grips.

Hey I just noticed this post. Just to let you know there is absolutely no play in the quick release at all, The entire package is as firm as the original wheel.

Thanks for the response! I really only wanted to change the wheel because I need more leg room so having a smaller diameter wheel would be cool. But then I got to thinking how much I miss the bullitt wheel I put in my s197 mustang. The quick release would be really cool, I dont know if I would get it though because my car never sees bad areas or anything and Ill probably only take it out once or twice just for the fun factor. Does it add any length to the column, in other words does it make the wheel closer to the driver? I cant even tell which one is the quick release from your pics. Thanks again

I'd say it's closer to be between 1 - 2 inches
