Default Front windshield tinted pics

Hello I have 20% all the way around on my Camaro and the tint it like 9years old and it's still in good shape. So my question will I be ok tinting my front windshield at 40% will it make my car more darker inside and will it be harder to see in

Front windshield definitely makes everything darker with how much light it helps keep out. I've got some pics in the link in my sig, I had 35%

Keep in mind in addition to being illegal in most places, the windshield tint can get you in to trouble with your insurance provider in the event of an at-fault accident.. just something to consider.

Yep, just like he said. It can be a big legal matter if a type of accident happens.

Beside that....it is really nice to have during the hot bright summer days. Although your night vision does decrease a good bit. I had 5% on my side and 50% on my windshield. It looked darker from the inside because of my side/back windows being 5%, it wasn't allowing any light in.

Kinda hard to tell from the pic:

When I first purchased my car the owner ran a tinting business and he had the whole front windshield tinted and I could barely see a thing out the front windshield. Luckily he was nice enough to cut it for me.

Tinted windshields look so badass, I just wish they weren't illegal. But most of the mods on our cars here are illegal anyways

I agree 100% and most of my mods are illegal too lol. But with the windshield I believe I heard it could be a felony if it comes down to it, and also a point on your record. Correct me if I'm wrong....California laws do suck *** though.

Did you install it yourself? Or who did you have do it?

I have a buddy in my home town who owns a tint shop.

I didn't feel like visibility was really effected At all with 35%. You Can see out fine, but can't see into the car very well from outside. Especially with all the windows up.
It has 5% on the rear and t tops and 15% on the side windows too.

Anyone ever done a 50-35% windshield with a 5% strip on the top? That would look badass.

I've never seen 40% but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I think you'll be fine with that though. My truck has 20 on front doors, factory 20+ 20 on the rear doors and back glass and a 20 strip on the windshield and I think it's perfect for daily driving. A little over the legal limit, but hardly noticeable, haven't been pulled over for it yet and I drive around town all day for work. And the back isn't so dark that it makes it hard to see out of backing up.

I think with the whole windsheild tinted you'll not even notice the strip is there.

I have 20% all around also with a 5% strip on the front of everything I own, its a nice shade and the po-po don't seem to mind.

You're probably right on the mixing of 35% and 5% on the windshield.
