Default Corbeau seat opinions/experiences

I've been looking at aftermarket seats lately to replace my dead factory ones and Corbeau, particularly the GTS II really caught my eye. I really don't want any race style seats and these seem perfect.

Anybody have these in their cars? A search revealed two cars or so in some old threads, anything more recent? Any opinions on Corbeau in general?

Pic related, GTS II

Brackets they provide could be better for the cost but I really like my LG1s.

I have a corbeau forza (fixed back) for a drivers seat and I like it. quality seems good for the price although it was kinda difficult to bolt the seat to the bracket, but I think the seating position/height is perfect (im 5'11). one thing I would say is definitely get the duel locking slider just for some piece of mind. I plan on getting another forza for the passenger seat this spring

if you don't want the "racing" style seat, take a look at the sport seat from corebeau.

Not much experience, but I did own a set of older corbeau buckets. The black faded quickly and the fabric had a bit of a cheap feel. That being said I almost bought a pair of GTSIIs recently

I had the same seats just blue on the inside portion, they did fade quickly and I thought they looked a bit outdated but worth every penny for the $200 I got them for.

Does your fastened stock/factory seat belt actually make contact with your body when you sit in that seat, or does it sit on that side bolster ABOVE your lap??

I ask because I am trying to decide which NRG seats to get; one of their recliners, or to save 5-10 lbs. each, as well as $250.00-$400.00, by getting their one piece shell style seats.

BTW; I have that same exact steering wheel in my car, gotta LOVE those suede Sparco wheels!

the shoulder strap does make contact, but not sure about the lap belt, haven't driven the car in a month so I don't remember. the shoulder belt is on my neck most of the time though because there is no holder there anymore, one more reason to get a harness though lol

I love this wheel, the 9 and 3 notches are awesome, its so controllable and grippy

My CR1's in leather do not look to racy. They have recline and lumbar. Been a good seat. Seem to suit the interior nicely.

The Corbeau brackets. They do sit about 1" higher than the factory power base at the lowest setting. I modded the driver side to lower it about .75". I need clearance for my helmet. I am 6' 1".

I've got CR1's in my car and they are just about the most comfortable thing I've sat in. The fabric does feel a little cheap, but they look good and are comfortable and sturdy. The brackets which came with them were pretty solid. They were difficult to install but I think that's due to my large hands. They sit low enough and far enough back for me as well at 6'3"

They look nice, but I don't really plan on getting a harness or anything, so I'd rather not have holes in the seat for one.

I saw them, would prefer to have some more bolstering on the side for autocross and what not

I don't think any seat can sit higher than a factory trans am seat, my knee can touch the lower dash panel in the wifes t/a. My cr1 seats lowered my seating position in the camaro drastically

Ditto. I'm 6 foot 4 and if I slide the seat all the way back I can't depress the clutch

Great seats

Im only 6'2 and with every seat ive had in my Camaro (stock, 6LE, and Corbeau Forza) Ive had seat height issues. Maybe I have a longer torso or something? Idk. With the stock seats I just slouched, with the 6LE seats I had to make the drivers side fixed position and basically have the seat on the floor and with the forza I didn't want to give up the adjustability so I had to come up with a custom bracket for it. The corbeau brackets made my head touch the T-Top with the forza seats.

BTW I have Forzas and I think theyre great seats especially for the price.

Maybe you sit too upright? I've always adjusted my seat as far back as possible then lean the seat back until I can just rest my wrist on the top of the steering wheel with my back flush against the seat. This gives me good head clearance and the ability to properly steer the vehicle without having to life myself out of the seat at all
