Default Steering wheel gone bad, help.

Steering wheel broke while I was trying to remove it to install an aftermarket one; see the video for the current condition and provide information you may know that can help. Thank you.

id use a cutoff wheel if you can get it i there, make a cut on top and bottom of the nut (but don't go all the way down to the steering shaft) then use a flat chisel and hit it with a hammer a couple of times. This should crack it the rest of the way and fall off. Think of it as removing a bearing race or look that up.

Have you tried a nut splitter, much safer than a cutting wheel. No danger of beggaring up the shaft. Good luck bud!

As stated above, a dremel tool with a cut-off wheel would be the best choice for this situation.
