Default claybar vs. claybar

Any one used the three types of claybars out there and notice a difference? I know theres Zaino, Mothers, and like Magic clay or some **** like that. Are claybars pretty much the same? Just fricking clay?

There is also 3M overspray clay. But I dont think there is much difference. I like the Mothers clay bar, it does not seem to leave residue if it gets dry like the the 3M.

They are all pretty similar. Not too many people manufacture clay, so lots are the same. Clay Magic has a little more kick to it - available in fine and medium grades.

Not if you do it properly. Your car shouldn't need it more than 2-3 times a year.

Meguairs - Junk, falls apart like bread crumbs
Mothers - Gets pretty soft and streaks just a tad if your not very careful
Clay Magic - Great stuff, hold it's form, doesnt streak
Zaino - As good as Clay Magic

Those are the only four brands I've used, wish I could of tried a few others. The worst thing that can happen from over claying if you could swirl the paint from dragging some dirt on the bar. It's safe if your careful.

I used Zaino clay on mine during the last round of ****-retentive cleaning/polishing/waxing. It worked great, and I could definitely feel the difference, especially on the nose and spoiler.

I looks like clay magic is the better deal. Cheaper and works just as good as Zaino plus you don't have to order it you can pick it up at an autoparts store.

I've tried the Zaino and the Clay Magic Fine Grade Bar on my car. In my personal opinion, I'll go with the Clay Magic from now on. It is true about keeping the lube on there. I had a couple spots left on the car when I finished where I had to go back over it and get the residue off. Anyways, the Clay Magic bar seemed to work alot better at taking things out of the paint than the Zaino bar did.
