Default Lloyd Mats Ebony vs Smoke

Ordered some mats for my 02 T/A with Ebony Interior.

Ordered the Ebony mats... not even close on color. Ebony mats are nearly black in comparison.

The light grey looks too light, but they have a "smoke" color also that looks to be in between.

Anyone have any experience with the different colors from Lloyds and which ones best matches the Ebony F body interior?

Thanks

I would call Lloyd. hopefully there are some old heads there that know the correct color. I was under the impression that the oem carpet was a charcoal. I guess smoke is the one. I planed on getting a set in ebony tho.

Not sure what matches but ebony certainly doesn't. Not a cheap mistake either

You would think Lloyd would be able to answer this question. GM uses the same ebony color the 00-02 F cars had to this day in nearly all models.

Many newer models use a darker shade for 19I/Ebony than what was used in the '00-'02 F-body. For example, I had some true black all-weather mats in my '02 Z28 - it was obvious that these mats were much darker than the interior of that car. I later moved those same mats into my 2010 Malibu daily driver, also with "Ebony" interior, and they were almost a perfect match.

Some folks mistakenly think that F-body "Ebony" is black, but it's not a true black at all. It's just a dark charcoal gray.

Went with "Smoke"

We'll see when I get them how close the color is.

Smoke is green. And too light. No go on the Lloyd mats. They don't have a color that matches the ebony fbody interior. Just FYI.

My interior is ebony; I don't remember whether I ordered ebony or smoke (years ago), but they are green. They look pretty lousy with ebony leather, but okay with ebony cloth because of the color flecking in the cloth material.
