I'm also going to ask some detailers if they have experience with it.
I had the driver's side seat bottom redone with leather made to order and the LAST piece of OER seat foam in existance. LOL
See the pic below of the driver's seat. The seat back is original...
Would like to see if the rest could be saved before just recovering everything.
The passenger side seat isn't ripped, but it's hard as a rock.

First, you might want to try using a leather softening spray. These products are designed specifically to tackle tough and rigid leather, making it more pliable.
