BMW paint job
I will be painting my old 320 that color when the restoration is done... good color but for an f body i would have to see... a paint shop should be able to mix the paint for you.. just get the bmw paint code from the dealer as for the price.. it depends on prep and all that... a friend paid $2300 for his mclaren prep and paint.. hope this helps!
I got some of the best paint around.... Sikkens, to put it in perspective Dupont will cost you 500-600 bucks for the material costs alone. Sikkens, 1,500. Its all about durability. Cost me nearly 4K for this paint in pepper gray metallic, with 5 layers of clear, and I got an EXTREMELY good deal. Best advice? Look around... ALOT, and see the work they do multiple times. Its a big step painting your baby

we use sikkens at my shop. imo, it is the best paint out there, we work on all bmw's, mercedes, porsches, ferraris etc at my shop, so we want to use the best out there. so i too would suggest getting it painted with sikkens. if your looking for the paint code for that color i could check on it tomorrow, and post it up here for you. i think it would look sweet as hell on a f-body

The color is Imola Red, I know because my friend had an M3 in that color. I don't think it's that different then my red SS. The Imola is darker a little. I don't think people will really notice. When I get home tonight I will put up a link from when we went to the track and I kicked his a$$. The cars are side by side in the pictures. What's really funny about this post is that my friend who had the M3 works for Sikkens as a paint rep. Sikkens really is the best.
Yeah, I couldnt believe it when I saw it. I went from NBM, already an argueably beautiful color, to the pepper gray metallic due to the NBM fading and starting to look purple. Needless to say, when I went to go pick the car up, the girlfriend had to keep pushing my jaw back up so I would stop drooling on myself.

Yes, that pepper gray metallic is off the hoOk. I think it looks better than wicked SS's Steal gray pearl. And that M3 pic up here is so clean. I really think that Imola red is beautiful. What do you guys think if I had rally stripes air brushed in Louie Vaton? I would air brush in lil lighter red if I had the Imola paintjob. Personally I think it would loOk SICK. Let me know your opinions. Thanks!

there was a custom paint offered from BMW in the mid 90's called "lipstick red" It was very bright and that was what I wanted for my car. The lipstick really draws attention.. all nice colors though
the paint code is 405. and as said, the name of it is imola red. i talked to the guy who orders supplies at my work and he said he would be able to give me a better price tomorrow. ill be sure to let you know
