Default My custom fuel rail covers

Here is a picture of my custom fuel rail covers I finally got around to painting. Next to them are ones that I did for MYBLKSS. In case anyone is interested I have an extra unpainted set if anyone was interested. But either way check it out.

I did mine too, but the paint is bubbling from all the heat from the headers. What kind of paint did you use? I think I need to redo mine. What would you chrage for the set you have? I would just want solid nbm with the silver 5.7 and the TA door emblems where the word corvette usually is? Sweet job by the way!!!

I used PPG paint, I work at a collision center so I use their paint. It is good up to 400 degrees or so. For just NBM covers something like 150 shipped.

Just redo them yourself when I did mine I used Duplicolor paint and so far so good. I'll probably add some thermal tape to the underside of them.

Thermal tape? Where can you get that? Should I use the engine paint from oriellys? I used the duplicolor spray paint that matched the car and that is what is bubbling. What should I do?

You can get the tape from Jegs or Summit, etc...the two types I have used with good results are DEI Cool Tape and Thermo-Tec Thermo-Shield.

I primered them with 2 coats and then painted with like 3 or 4. I don't think I was using high temp paint though.

I mudded them, overcoated them, then 3 coats of primer. Sanded them down with 320 and then base, cleared them.
