That was me. Here it is again. It does look pretty good.

I had a few more ideas as well:

I gave up on most of those ideas. I'm currently thinking of what I mentioned earlier. Something like a shaker, but molded in. Very fluid with more of a bulge shape to it rather than flat sides. I figure the car is sexy with flowing lines like a woman, so I need to stick to that general design. Doing a straight forward, old style shaker on a newer car just doesn't look completely right to me. If you notice on the Heritage TA the scoop is larger to better match the proportions of the car. The old scoop is a little on the small side. It can still look good, but I would do a few tweaks to it.

NHRA Trans Am M6, who's white and blue car is that?

I think they said it was based on the old style TA rear spoilers.

It was custom made. There are none that just bolt on our cars. LG Motorsports made one like it for the 4th gen camaros, but I don't think they sell it anymore.

Naa, it's got the V shape to it like the factory Ram Air hoods, but it's missing the dividers. The HO has lines that go straight back, almost parallel.

Here's a quick PS job. Those reflections are hell.

Also, don't forget that the overall hood is bulged up higher around the windshield.

That pointed hood looks mean. Give it a bit of a flair, like the Mecham hood, and it would look just incredible, like it's ready to kill.

All of those photoshops look really good. (not keen on the blower sticking out though, but otherwise they rock)

Edit, just noticed the buldge that you mentioned, I think that takes away from it a bit, personally.

Also, speaking of reflections, your original smoothed nose, the reflections always tripped me up, there's an odd bit of reflection in the center that looks like a flat spot. I have to focus on it to make it look right. Might just the way I see it though. lol

OMG, I'm in love. Thats photoshopped isnt it? I wish someone madea hood like that, but maybe a little taller. I like the smooth transitions on the hood.

Hey, I can only do so much with the photos I have. Gotta give me break.

That actually is one of Rogers Superhawk Outlaw hoods (from his green test car) that I Photoshopped onto my car. He never did get around to making them. You'll notice that they are quite a bit taller than the regular superhawks.

To anybody interested, Roger still has his webpage up with all his different hoods. He only does the Viper stuff now, so you can look only.

Index is on the left. It's good stuff.

I've even gotten some ideas from his Viper hoods. Those heat extractors he molds in are just badass.

I am trying to get to an ebay seller's house to compare his 2nd gen Camaro 3-piece lip spoiler to my 98 TA. I'll let you now. I am building my car into a Heritage clone.

The scoop size and position need a bit of tweaking here. Not that I can work Photoshop! The standard scoop is larger and stretches toward the windshield more.

Don't mean to detract from it. It's still quite good. Not to mention far better than I could do. lol

Amen to the the quality of the PS work, I just want to see what the 70's shaker will look like in the correct proportion since I am actually building this configuration on my TA. I need to go and take a PS class.

If anyone can find a car pic they like and a scoop pic that is roughly from the same angle I'll put the 2 together for you.

School? I taught myself! Download yourself a copy of Adobe PS 6 or 7 from a shareware program. (Not that I condone that) It includes a tutorial usually and you can find books on it at the used book stores. There are newer versions of PS, but I would stick to 6 or 7. You will get better over time. I don't think I know even 1/4 of what can be done. Still it's fun to mess with.

See what I mean?

Raleigh, I enlarged and centered your shaker scoop. Do you think it looks any better?

Thanks Jason. I was wanting to see what that blu98ta shot would look like with the notes I wrote, I guess I wasn't too clear on that. Thanks for messing with my pic. I wasn't too careful when I shot it, I didn't place the shaker in the center of the hole...that almost sounds dirty.

In person, I think the scoop needs not be larger to fit on the 4th gen. Think about it...the 2nd gen is a larger car, if the scoop was right on the larger car, why make it even larger on a smaller car? I like the Heritage, but the scoop is a bit too large for me to consider for my daily driver.

So, since you are proficient with PS, could you graft the fender heat extractor from the Heritage onto this 4th gen, but leave the stock fender vents? I'll post the base pics on my site.
