School? I taught myself! Download yourself a copy of Adobe PS 6 or 7 from a shareware program. (Not that I condone that) It includes a tutorial usually and you can find books on it at the used book stores. There are newer versions of PS, but I would stick to 6 or 7. You will get better over time. I don't think I know even 1/4 of what can be done. Still it's fun to mess with.

I couldn't even find a decent red car, so if you have some red car pics from that angle, I can try again. I almost gave up on this one, it was so hard. The white shaker blends in a little too much, but I'm not sure how to correct that. Anyway, here it is:

If you want a much better idea of what the white shaker on a red car would look like you can paint your current hood with the white stripe and white shaker. Then find some nice red car photos like yours with a stock hood. Photograph your hood at the same angle as the car and with similar lighting. I can then combine the 2 for a very realistic image.
Are you saying you saw a photoshop of the SS scoop on a stock TA hood? Still have the pic? I'd like to see that.

Something like this Caprice bulge might go well on the TA hood.

It's not perfect, but gives you a rough idea of how it would look.

I thought that extra heat extractor just didn't blend in at all, style wise. I'd either run it or the stock vents, but not both.
Raleigh TA, all I know is that you have a LS1 4th gen. What color is your car now? TA or Formula? Any pics?
Also, did you make your shaker yourself or buy it?

I think the front half of the stock hood looks pretty good, it's just that flat spot on the top rear section that really needs something. A shaker, bulge, heat extractor, something.
Another thing, if you measure our hoods real closely you'll see they are only 1/2" less in height compared to the Ram Air hoods. The Ram Air hoods look a lot taller because the sides of the hood doesn't bulge up like the stock hoods. You'll notice the Ram Air sides are flat. I think we could create a cowl induction look if we just pushed down the sides of the hood where it starts to bulge upward near the creases. Can anyone follow that? It's hard to explain.

If you have pics, lets' see them. I might be thinking of the wrong thing.
Speaking of heat extractors, I did a few PS of a car with them on the sides of the hood along with some different stripe packages. Check these out.

Anyone here worked with foam?
I'm thinking about carving some foam to make a hood bulge of some kind. Shape it, add a layer of bondo, sand it, and add a quick coat of paint. Then set it on my hood, wet down the car and snap some shots. Then Photoshop out the edges to make it look like it's molded in.
I'm trying to think of a quick way I can make these so I can knock out several different shapes and styles without costing a lot of money or taking a lot of time.
Once I find something I like, I'll do it up in fiberglass and take my time to make it right.
I figure I'll need to buy a little sander like this.
Anyone have any suggestions or hints?
