Turn One Steering Power Steering Pulley

Turn One Steering Power Steering Pulley
A few questions for those of you that have one (Steve).
- What does the finish look like?
- Is it bare aluminum or steel?
- Could you chrome plate it?
- Will it still "slide" on to the pump after being chrome plated?
I have my car torn down for a cam swap and I would like to install a nice fancy chrome pulley. I'm also going to get the PS pump bracket chrome plated too.
Any info and/or tips are appreacated...

You could chrome it but it would be better to have it polished
Maybe, its a tight fit as it is and the plating might make it too hard to put on.
Here it is:
I had it powder painted (not where the shaft goes) and then had the front polished.. gave a nice effect

Last I checked Ligenfelter stopped selling them. I know they're are still on their website, but I called and they weren't selling them at that time. I bought a Reichard Racing power steering pulley. Coming nicely finished in a satin finish. Having mine polished and chromed as we speak.

I chromed my Turn One Pulley - no problems with install. I don't have a lot of xtra time to polish everything that does or doesn't move - so I send all my stuff out for chroming - got lotta $$, very little time
And BTW, the stock pulley is NOT plastic

I have pics - but on home puter. I have all my chrome/polishing done at a local shop in Jeanette, PA that deals in show chrome only (they actually use a (4) step process instead of the usual (3) with polishing between each step), they even chrome plastic.
As far as the plastic goes, I've had my dipstick handle, A/C Port Caps, Power Steering Reservoir, ABS Front Cover done.
I'll send pics over later today...

Dress up and improve your power steering pump on your LS1 Camaro or Firebird with this heavy duty aluminum pulley. The factory pulley is made from plastic and can fail under extreme use. The Turn One pulley is a heavy duty aluminum pulley that is specially designed to allow you to remove the pump without first pulling the factory pulley.

I wouldn't lie to you - just because they say it's plastic doesn't make it so.
I personally took off my stock pulley and replaced it with the Turn One, then I turned around and sold the stock pulley to a forum member. Had it in my little hands over & over, and it is DEFINITELY metal.

i just purchased the pulley from jeff @ turn one and for what its worth if you plan on polishing or chroming the pulley you can buy a blemished one for $30 which is half price and the only thing wrong is maybe a scratch or something but if you plan on chromeing or polishing it you will fix that in the process
