IMO, it's all personal preference.

I prefer liquid because it's easier for me to work with. My experiences with paste wax have left me with too many high and low spots (i.e. too much wax in some spots, not enough in others).

Just my personal opinion.

it all depends most pastes are carnubas (with the exception of NXT) so if your comparing a paste carnuba against a liquid carnuba your will get more wetness out of the paste due to some of the oily content. The liquids arent bad like meguiars 26 which adds some wetness to dark colors. The paste carnubas will add more wetness and some depth as well, durability of a carnuba isnt all that depending on your surroundings some should last 30days or so less if its real hot in your area. I really wouldnt compare a paste to a liquid but then again its all prefrence.

I use the NXT stuff. I had the Zaino and didnt like the plastic look. I seen they (NXT) just came out with a NXT paste and wondered why since they already had a liquid.

I think a lot of it has to do with personal preference regarding product application. Most people I know prefer to apply paste wax by hand and liquid with a buffer. In the case of the NXT paste vs. liquid, they appear to be different formulas so results may differ.

Here is a specific thread on the Meguiar's Online forum about the release of the NXT Paste Wax. There are also a few threads/reviews about it in the NXT Generation forum. If you are interested in learning more about Meguiar's products in general, that is a pretty good message board.

I like the liquid better, just easier to work with to me. Both should give the same results of used right.

I been using Zaino for like 4 years now, and this past summer decided to go elsewhere. I started using 3M's Liquid wax, and after the second coat, I was missing the zaino.... so I switched back to Zaino which is a liquid polish. It goes on very easy and comes off just as easy. I love it.

If I ever decide to try another wax, I think it will be the NXT stuff, I hear it's pretty good.

I'll be using the NXT stuff. I've always used Mother's in the past with great results. I'm not a fan of the Zaino. I did'nt like it. It doesn't last long IMO.

Zaino, liquid w/o a doubt......after (6) coats or so w/hardener, you will be amazed.
I'll never go back to Meguiars now.

Initially, you buy the kit w/ZFX which is a hardener that helps the polish(not wax) bond quicker. I call it a hardener, sorry.

You can read up on it on their website. Unfortunately, they do not sell it at Pep Boys, or Autozone. You can order direct from Zaino, or find a local rep who distributes their products.

You are correct sir, incorrect on my part! Just seems to provide a deeper, glossier finish IMO. There is a running, ongoing controversy over which is better:

NXT or ZAINO

Personal preference, but I had used Meguiar's Professional products for over 10 years, and I personally like the Zaino anti-static ingredients that help keep dirt, dust off. No streaking, easy to remove, bugs wipe off easy, and this product has some enduring qualities. Doesn't take much to apply, but is pricier than most products available.

One last thing, try the micro-fiber test......see if it slides off the car after application. Bet NXT doesn't.

Microfiber towel. And yes, it does slide off after application of NXT.
